Dhaka, March 1 -- A Dhaka court on Thursday sent Murad Hossain Sarkar, a mathematics teacher of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College's Azimpur campus, to jail in a case filed over sexual harassment of a female student.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim passed the order when police produced him before the court after the end of his two-day remand in the case, reports UNB.
The court also ordered the authorities concerned to take measures to give him treatment as per jail rules as the accused's lawyer pledged medical treatment.
Murad was arrested from his Kalabagan residence in the capital around 12 am on Monday. He was suspend after an emergency meeting of the governing body of Viqarunnisa School on Monday night.
