Dhaka, April 4 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has accused a vested group of deliberately misrepresenting the party's stance on reforms.
He reaffirmed that BNP fully endorses the essential reforms needed to ensure holding a free and fair election.
Speaking to reporters at his residence in Thakurgaon district town on Wednesday, Fakhrul clarified the party's position.
"Our stance on reforms is being distorted. Certain groups are spreading false claims that BNP prioritizes elections first and reforms later. This is completely untrue. We have always been advocates of reforms," he said.
