Dhaka, Jan. 26 -- The United States (US) will continue providing life-saving food and nutrition assistance to Rohingya refugees sheltered in Bangladesh, who were displaced from Myanmar's Arakan region. This aid will remain unaffected by the suspension of other US assistance.

Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has expressed sincere gratitude to President Donald Trump for continuing aid to Rohingya refugees.

Deputy Press Secretary of Chief Adviser, Apurba Jahangir, confirmed this during a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Sunday evening.

"Rohingya Crisis and Priority Issues Affairs Dr Khalilur Rahman had a meeting with the US Embassy officials on Sunday," he said.
