Dhaka, Feb. 28 -- Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has emphasised the need for members of the Bangladesh Infantry Regiment to be perpetually ready to meet the challenges of modern warfare through advanced and effective training.

He also urged all members to uphold their commitment to national security and adapt to evolving global defense scenarios.

His call to action came as he was formally inducted as the "Colonel of the Regiment" at the Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre in Rajshahi Cantonment yesterday.
