Dhaka, Sept. 9 -- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Monday called on the interim government to leave unsettled political disputes to the judgment of the people.

He noted that while parties have reached agreement on certain matters, significant divisions still remain. In such cases, he argued, the government should present its policies and ideals openly before the nation and allow citizens to decide through their vote.

Addressing the biennial conference of Thakurgaon district BNP virtually, Tarique stressed that until Bangladesh is restored to a genuine democratic path-despite conspiracies and obstacles-every leader and activist of the BNP will remain vigilant and dedicated to re-establishing democratic rule.
