Dhaka, Aug. 28 -- Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Ansar, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, has said the upazila and thana-level Ansar companies will soon be reorganized to enhance their effectiveness in maintaining law and order and ensuring internal security.

Speaking while inspecting a training course at BCSIR School and College in the capital on Wednesday, the DG emphasized the vital role of Ansar companies at grassroots levels. The training program was organized by Dhaka Metropolitan Ansar South Zone.

"The upazila and thana-level companies are a key part of the force's efforts to combat social crime and ensure internal peace," he said.
