Dhaka, May 11 -- THE ongoing protests at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) raise significant concerns not only about the welfare of its workforce but also about the broader implications for national security and nuclear safety in Bangladesh.

As the country's first nuclear facility, RNPP is classified as a Key Point Installation (KPI) of the highest sensitivity, and the unrest surrounding it is alarming.
