Dhaka, April 18 -- One of the most popular rock band of the country, Souls is set to mark its 50th anniversary with a special unplugged concert titled 'Souls Unplugged: 50 Years of Timeless Music' on May 2 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Chattogram Bay View.
The event is presented by Mastercard and organised by M&M Business Communications, said a press release.
Souls, formed in 1973 in Chattogram, began its journey under the name 'Surela' a year earlier in 1972, founded by Sazed Ul Alam along with Lulu and Roni.
The band soon renamed itself 'Souls' and became a pioneer in the country's rock music scene.
