Dhaka, Oct. 9 -- The removal of illegal bunds obstructing the flow of water in the beels of Chatmohar, Pabna, continues. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate Musa Naser Chowdhury recently removed two more bunds.
UNO Musa Naser Chowdhury conducted a drive from the afternoon to evening of Monday to remove these two bunds, which had been illegally erected in Kata Gang and Sthal villages of Handial Union. These bunds had been installed by an identified group without legal permission, disrupting Rabi season cultivation and blocking the natural flow of water, affecting indigenous fish species and local farmers in the Chalanbil area.
