Dhaka, April 17 -- When the government first introduced the 'Universal Pension Scheme (UPS),' public interest was initially sluggish. However, the tides have turned, with over 54,000 individuals now enrolled in UPS.

Multiple sources report that approximately Tk 43.62 crore has been deposited across four UPS categories. Officials anticipate that the number of beneficiaries will soon exceed one lakh.

The government established various schemes under UPS to cater to different demographics.
