Dhaka, Dec. 4 -- The leaders of the Bangladesh Labour party on Friday asked the United Nations (UN) for taking action to stop India from killing the Bangladeshis near the international borders.

"It is very much important on the part of the UN to keep India refrained from killing Bangladeshi people in the border areas," Dr. Mustafizur Rahman Iran, Chairman of the party said while addressing a protest programme in front of National Press Club on Friday.

The programme was orgainsed as a mark of protest against the killings of four Bangladeshis at Kaligonj in Lalmonirhat and Kanaighat in Sylhet districts recently.

Dr. Iran said, India has been continuously killing the innocent people ignoring international laws.
