Dhaka, Aug. 4 -- The Government of Bangladesh and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Saturday signed a $150 million loan agreement aimed at strengthening technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to foster quality employment and enhance global competitiveness.

The agreement was signed at the Economic Relations Division (ERD) in Dhaka, with ERD Secretary Md Shahriar Kader Siddiky and ADB Country Director Hoe Yun Jeong representing their respective sides.

The initiative is aligned with the government's Integrated TVET Development Action Plan (ITDAP) and focuses on five key technology sectors: mechanical, electronics and electrical, information and communication technology (ICT), civil engineering, and food and agriculture. S...
