Dhaka, Aug. 5 -- The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has seen a mild decline in trading volume and a 50-point dip in the benchmark index, as most stocks underwent price corrections following a sustained rally.Turnover stood at Tk 9.11 billion at the end of the session on Monday, slightly lower than the previous day.The DSEX benchmark index, which closed at 5,536 points on Sunday, slipped to 5,485 by close, dropping below the 5,500 mark it had crossed for the first time since Oct 1, 2024.The index had initially gained 23 points in the first 75 minutes of trading, peaking at 5,559 before reversing direction later in the session.
