Dhaka, March 29 -- Turkey's First Lady Emine Erdogan greeted Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh Professor Muhammad Yunus for his exceptional contributions and global advocacy in advancing the cause of zero waste.
Emine Erdogan expressed her greetings while delivering the keynote address on Thursday at the high-level commemoration of the International Day of Zero Waste-focused on fashion and textile waste.
The first lady warned of the devastating impact of the current linear production model and called for an urgent shift in global consumption patterns, said a press release received on Friday.
