Dhaka, April 9 -- A Dhaka court on Monday placed former International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) prosecutor Barrister Tureen Afroz on a four-day remand in connection with an attempted murder case linked to last year's student-led anti-discrimination protests in the capital's Uttara area.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain passed the order after police produced Tureen before the court and sought a 10-day remand to interrogate her over her alleged involvement in the incident. Police arrested her late Sunday night from her residence in Uttara's Sector-11.
