Dhaka, June 3 -- The government has suspended movement of trucks, covered vans and lorries on the highways for six days, three days before the Eid-ul-Azha and three days after the festivals to facilitate a traffic jam free smooth journey.

The six-day ban on the movement of trucks, covered vans and lorries will be effective from June 4-6 before the Eid and June 12-14 after the Eid, reports BSS.

However, vehicles carrying livestock, daily household necessities and food items, perishable goods, garments, medicines, fertilizers, and fuel will be exempted from the restriction.
