Dhaka, April 27 -- The 63rd death anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Huq was observed on Saturday with a commemorative discussion organised by Barisal Division Association, Dhaka, at the National Press Club in the city.

Speakers at the event paid tribute to Sher-e-Bangla for his lifelong efforts to enlighten the backward Muslim society through education and enduring contributions to public welfare.Valiant freedom fighter Md. Ziaul Kabir Dulu, president of the Barisal Division Association, presided over the meeting.

In his opening remarks, he highlighted Sher-e-Bangla's pivotal role in promoting education among marginalized communities, a legacy he described as "ever memorable."
