Dhaka, April 18 -- At least four people were killed when a truck collided head-on with a pick-up truck in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj early Friday.

The accident took place around 3am in the Bakhornagar area, said Abdullah Al Mamun, Officer-in-Charge of Madhabpur Police Station.

"Four people died on the spot in the collision," he said, adding that the pick-up truck was carrying 17 passengers along with household items.

The injured were rushed to the Sadar Hospital, where five remain in critical condition.

The bodies have been recovered and kept at Shayestaganj Highway Police Station as efforts continue to identify the deceased, OC Mamun added.
