Dhaka, Nov. 29 -- Model and actress Rafah Nanjeba Torsa caught the eye by winning the Miss World Bangladesh beauty pageant in 2019.

That year, she represented the country at the international stage of Miss World. Since then, she has gradually started working in various media outlets.

Torsa has recently written her name in a new movie. The screenwriter and director of the movie titled 'Mati' is Syed Shamser Tarif.

Director Shamsher Tarif said that 'Mati' is being made in a rural context. The story will depict people's dreams, struggles, and a life lived in harmony with the soil and the river.

The shooting of the movie 'Mati' is underway in various locations in Maheshpur, Mathpara, and Ichamati River, bordering Jhenaidah district.
