Dhaka, Dec. 25 -- A mobile court has fined an excavator owner 3 lakh taka for illegally cutting soil from a canal and agricultural land next to the canal in Chauddagram, Comilla. The information was confirmed by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Syed Safkat Ali on Wednesday evening.
It is learnt that for a long time, an organised group had been cutting soil from Maskara-Chandrapur Krishnachara (Khan) and adjacent agricultural land and taking it to Anik Bricks in Chandakara Ekta Bazar.
