Dhaka, July 3 -- The duration of the "Municipal Tax Fair 2025" organized by the Narayanganj City Corporation (NASIK) has been extended by another 15 days.
In the first 15 days of the fair, more than 3,000 citizens responded by paying their outstanding holding taxes and WASA bills. A total of Tk 102,023,000 has been collected in overdue holding taxes during this period nearly one-fifth of the total outstanding amount.
NASIK's Chief Executive Officer, Mohammad Zakir Hossain, stated that in the previous fiscal year (2024-25), the three regions under NASIK had approximately Tk 560 million in outstanding holding taxes. Within the first 15 days of the fair, Tk 102 million has already been collected.
