Dhaka, March 27 -- The government has ramped up security across Dhaka city ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to ensure the safety of both residents and travelers.
Nasimul Gani, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, stated that law enforcement agencies would remain on high alert during the holidays to prevent any untoward incidents. "We are fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of city dwellers during Eid. There will be no unexpected incidents," he assured while speaking to journalists after attending meetings of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) and Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs (ACCEA) at the Cabinet Division conference room in the Secretariat.
