Dhaka, July 21 -- The Tigers thrashed Pakistan by seven wickets in their first Twenty20 International (T20I) match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital's Mirpur on Sunday.
Chasing Pakistan's paltry total of 110 off 19.3 overs, Bangladesh coasted home making 112 for the loss of three wickets when they had 27 balls to spare.
Bangladesh had an unhappy start as they lost their early two wickets for seven runs.
Opener Parvez Hossain Emon and second-down Towhid Hridoy repaired the damage contributing together 73 runs in the third wicket stand before Towhid Hridoy was bowled out by Abbas Afridi when Bangladesh's score was 80 for the loss of three wickets.
