Dhaka, Oct. 24 -- Bangladesh Cricket team clinched the three-match One Day International (ODI) series 2-1 against the West Indies defeating the Caribbeans by 179 runs in the third and final ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital's Mirpur on Thursday.

After 19 months, Bangladesh won an ODI series. Earlier, Bangladesh clinched the ODI series against Sri Lanka at the home ground in March of 2024.

Electing to bat first, the Tigers piled up a mammoth total of 296 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 50 overs and then bundled out the tourists for 117 runs in 30.1 overs.
