Dhaka, May 12 -- On the occasion of International Mother's Day, two most beloved screen mothers, Dilara Zaman and Dolly Zahur, were remembered not just for the roles they've played, but for the love they continue to receive from their on-screen children.
Though their biological children live abroad, both actresses have chosen to remain in Bangladesh, enveloped by the affection of the audiences and colleagues who fondly call them 'Maa.'
Dilara Zaman, who has two daughters living abroad, once joined them overseas but eventually returned home.
She said, "I couldn't stay away. Everyone here calls me 'Maa.' This land, these people - I can't leave them. The children of this country are my children. That's the greatest reward of all."
