Dhaka, March 20 -- Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO), a state-owned power distribution firm in the country, has issued a tender for the development of 120 MW of grid-connected solar capacity.
The project will be divided into eight lots of 15 MW each, with applications due by 5 May 2025. The tender covers the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of solar installations across Desco's service area, which includes Dhaka and its surrounding regions.
The systems, each with a capacity of 15 MW, will be installed on selected rooftops and integrated into Desco's distribution network via net metering.
