Dhaka, Dec. 23 -- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to be registered as a voter on December 27, party Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said.

Salahuddin Ahmed made the disclosure on Monday following a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin at the Election Commission headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka.

A three-member BNP delegation, led by Salahuddin, met the CEC at his office around 3:00pm. The delegation also included BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council member Ismail Zabihullah and former Election Commission acting secretary Mohammad Zakaria.
