India, Jan. 13 -- BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to launch his election campaign on 22 January, starting from Sylhet.

Announcing the programme on Monday, BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said Tarique Rahman will begin the campaign by visiting the shrines of Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) in Sylhet city and Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) in Khadimnagar.

"From the holy land of saints and spiritual leaders, the chairman's formal election campaign will commence through these shrine visits," he told reporters.
