Dhaka, Dec. 21 -- BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas on Saturday said the return of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman signals the restoration of democracy in the country.

"The democracy founded by Ziaur Rahman and nurtured by Khaleda Zia is now being brought back by Tarique Rahman," he said while speaking at a preparatory meeting in the capital's Gopibagh area ahead of Tarique Rahman's homecoming.
