Dhaka, Oct. 19 -- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday expressed deep concern over the fire that broke out at the Cargo Village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka.

In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page, he said, "I am deeply concerned about the fire incident at the Cargo Village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected, and I sincerely hope everyone remains safe."

He also praised the prompt efforts of the emergency responders, saying, "I commend the members of the Fire Service, Armed Forces, and other agencies who acted swiftly and courageously to contain the fire, demonstrating their genuine commitment to public service."
