Dhaka, April 20 -- Tannery workers protested in Hemayetpur, Savar, on Saturday, demanding the government implement the announced wages.Tannery workers staged a protest rally in the leather industry city. The Tannery Workers Union on Saturday under the initiative and presided over by the union president Md. Abul Kalam Azad.The rally was held in front of the Tannery Workers Union office. Hundreds of tannery workers, both men and women, gathered in separate processions from the factory for the rally.Speakers at the rally said that the Ministry of Labor and Employment has announced that on November 21, 2024, Grade-1, 34,168/, Grade-2, 28,388/, Grade-3, 24,002/, Grade-4, 20,993/ and Grade-5, 18,001/ will be paid to tannery workers.The gazette an...
