Dhaka, Sept. 23 -- Tangail LGED has once again emerged as the top revenue earner in the country from road roller rentals in the 2024-25 fiscal year, maintaining its number-one position for the fifth consecutive year.

According to official data, Tangail LGED earned BDT 2.91 crore in roller rental revenue against BDT 278.67 crore spent on road development. The department also set new records in laboratory testing fees this year.

Month-wise figures show consistent revenue generation, with January, March, and May showing the highest returns. In March alone, BDT 43 lakh was earned against BDT 28.41 crore in development work.
