Dhaka, July 17 -- The family of Tajuddin Ahmed, Bangladesh's first Prime Minister and a key architect of the 1971 Liberation War, met with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Thursday, July 17, to invite him to Tajuddin's birth centenary celebrations.
The meeting was held at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka. Tajuddin's daughter, Sharmin Ahmed, and son, Tanzim Ahmed Sohel Taj, formally invited Prof Yunus to the commemorative event, according to a statement from the Chief Adviser's Press Wing.
Sharmin also presented Yunus with her book Tajuddin Ahmed: Leader and Father, which highlights her father's life and contributions.
