Dhaka, Oct. 4 -- A full-fledged cancer hospital will soon be set up in Sylhet, said Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Sarwar Alam on Thursday.
He said once the hospital starts cancer patients in Sylhet and nearby regions will no longer need to go to Dhaka or abroad for treatment.
"We expect the cancer hospital to begin its activities within the next three months," he added.The DC made the remarks after inspecting the under-construction cancer unit at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, along with Housing and Public Works Secretary Nazrul Islam and hospital authorities, reports UNB
