Dhaka, Sept. 4 -- The Sylhet District Agriculture Department has set a target of planting Aman paddy on 1,45,310 hectares of land in the current Aman season, Kharip-2. So far, seedlings of early variety Aman paddy have been planted on 1,38,244 hectares of land in this district. This will continue until September 15. In the full season, farmers in every upazila of the district are now busy planting seedlings for Aman paddy cultivation.
