Dhaka, July 3 -- Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) is set to launch 13 new academic departments aimed at fostering national development and producing a skilled, future-ready workforce.
The proposed departments include Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Law, Aviation, and Al-Quran and Islamic Studies, among others.
Professor Dr. Md. Sajedul Karim, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of SUST, confirmed the development on Wednesday. He said the Academic Council has already approved the plan, which aligns with global academic trends and the evolving needs of the nation.
