Dhaka, April 6 -- Since Najmul Hossain Shanto stepped down as Bangladesh's T20 captain last December, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has yet to begin the process of appointing a new skipper.

However, discussions are ongoing, with several experienced players, including Litton Das and Taskin Ahmed, being considered. Among them, pacer Taskin has emerged as one of the leading candidates.

Although Taskin doesn't have much leadership experience, former Bangladesh captain and BCB director Khaled Mahmud Sujon expressed confidence in Taskin's leadership abilities.
