Dhaka, March 24 -- The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has implemented comprehensive security measures to ensure a safe and joyous celebration of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
"We've made all kinds of security preparations so that the city dwellers can celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr in a festive and safe environment," DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali said while speaking in a coordination meeting held at the conference room of the DMP Headquarters on Monday.
He said, "Besides, a sense of security awareness must also be created at the individual or institutional level."
The DMP chief, who chaired the meeting, mentioned that the overall law and order situation in Dhaka Metropolitan City was thoroughly reviewed.
