Dhaka, April 18 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a warning for thunderstorms across 22 districts on Friday, along with safety guidelines for lightning strikes.

According to the forecast, temporary gusts of wind ranging from 45 to 60 kmph, stormy conditions, and thunderstorms are likely during the six-hour period starting at 9:30 AM.

Districts under the lightning alert include: Rangpur, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Rajshahi, Natore, Pabna, Bogura, Meherpur, Chuadanga, Jashore, Kushtia, Rajbari, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Manikganj, Dhaka, Gazipur, Narsingdi, Tangail, Mymensingh, and Sylhet.
