Dhaka, Nov. 27 -- Standard Bank PLC organized a workshop on "Shari'ah Compliance in Banking Operations" on Tuesday at its Head Office, focusing on promoting ethical and Shari'ah-compliant banking practices.

Dr. Muhammad Saifullah, Chairman of the Bank's Shari'ah Supervisory Committee, attended as the Chief Guest and emphasized the importance of ethical values and upright conduct in Islamic banking. Professor Dr. Zubair Mohammad Ehsanul Haque, Member-Secretary of the Shari'ah Supervisory Committee, spoke about the necessity of practicing Shari'ah compliance in all banking operations, according to a press release.
