Dhaka, May 23 -- Bangladesh batsman Soumya Sarkar has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan due to a back injury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed in an official statement.
The left-handed top-order batter has been suffering from right-sided lower back pain for the past week. After a thorough medical assessment, National Team Physio Bayjedul Islam Khan revealed that Soumya will need 10 to 12 days of rehabilitation, ruling him out of the tour.
