Dhaka, Nov. 11 -- Law enforcement authorities are on heightened alert ahead of the November 13 "Dhaka Lockdown," a program announced by the Awami League, whose activities remain prohibited, according to Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Adviser to the Ministry of Home Affairs. He expressed confidence that the city will stay calm on that day. The adviser spoke after a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Law and Order at the Secretariat on Tuesday, November 11.
