Dhaka, Dec. 7 -- A different aesthetic scene has emerged in Srimangal, Moulvibazar, at Lal Shapla Beel.
It is in the Hail Haor area of Mirzapur Union of the upazila. It is like a vast water feature drawn by nature's skillful strokes, in the first light of dawn.
Thousands of red lotuses float on the banks of the haor; from a distance, it seems as if a silent carpet of endless red is spread over the water.
This strange and enchanting sight is now attracting nature lovers from different parts of the country every day.
And the people who are thirsty for nature, travel to the Sananda Beel of the vast Hail Haor, consisting of 14 beels. It has recently become known as the 'Lal Shapla Beel'.
