Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- Bangladesh piled up a fighting total of 236 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs against New Zealand (NZ) in their Group-A match of the ICC Champions Trophy at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Pakistan on Monday.

Bangladesh had a good start with two openers Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto put on together 45 runs in the opening stand before Tanzid Hasan (24) was caught at the midwicket by Kane Williamson off Michael Bracewell. Shanto notched up a terrific 77. His 110-ball innings was belted with nine fours.

One-down Mehidy Hasan Miraz (13) was caught at the mid-on by Mitchell Santner off Will O'Rourke when Bangladesh's score was 64 for two wickets.
