Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- Dhaka has been experiencing an unusually severe cold wether over the past few days, sending temperatures to some of the lowest levels recorded this winter and causing widespread discomfort across the capital.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the mercury in Dhaka dipped to around 9-10 degrees Celsius early in the mornings, accompanied by dense fog and chilly northwesterly winds, making it feel significantly colder.
The cold weather has disrupted daily routines, particularly for office-goers, students, and low-income residents.
