Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- With an increase in robberies, snatchings, and thefts across the country, including in the capital, Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury pledged a prompt response on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after a core committee meeting on law and order at the Ministry, he stated, "The presence of law enforcement will be noticeable from this evening."
He acknowledged some progress but also recognised that improvements were still needed.
"The law and order situation is satisfactory, but incidents like the recent Banasree robbery-which used to take days to solve-are now being detected almost immediately," he explained.
