Dhaka, July 10 -- The country will witness a second wave of flood from July 11 which would affect some 23 districts of the country, says the state minister for disaster management.

"According to the forecast of Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC), water levels of Brahmaputra, Jamuna, Meghna, and Padma will start rising from July 10-11. During this time, 20-23 districts will be submerged," State Minister Md Enamur Rahman said at a press conference from his office at the Secretariat on Thursday.

He said: "We gave direction to prepare a large number of shelters as a number of districts will be inundated this time. All would have to wear masks and maintain physical distance in the shelter centres."
