Dhaka, March 4 -- The Ministry of Education has abolished the 5 per cent quota for the family members of martyrs and those injured in the July mass uprisings, previously allocated for admission to government secondary schools.
However, the ministry has decided to reserve one additional seat per class for these children, in addition to the seats allocated through the lottery system in government schools.
Canceling the previous order, the ministry issued a new order on Monday signed by the Ministry's Deputy Secretary (Secondary-1) Rahima Akter.
