Dhaka, Dec. 5 -- The Scholastica School's A-Level student, Tashwaar Tamim, won the Gold Award in the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition (EC) 2025.
He won the Gold Award in the Senior Category for those aged 14 to 18. This competition is organised by the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCT). It is an international school-based essay competition that is over 140 years old.
This year's theme was 'Our Commonwealth Journey'. A total of 53,434 essays were submitted from 56 Commonwealth countries.
Thousands of students from all over the world are participating in this through essays, poems, plays, or letters. The competition has two age-based divisions, says a press release. The senior division is for those aged 14 to 18.
