Dhaka, Sept. 1 -- The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) today stayed a High Court (HC) order that had suspended the Dhaka UniversityCentral Students' Union (DUCSU) election until October 30.
"Stay till filing of the Civil Miscellaneous Petition," said the order passedby Appellate Division Judge-in-Chamber 2 Justice Farah Mahbub.
"The Chamber Judge court will hold further hearing in this connection tomorrow. The High Court order will remain suspended until then, and there is no legal bar in continuing the electoral process," Dhaka University's CounselAdvocate Mohammad Shishir Manir said.
